Nationally syndicated Chicago Tribune columnist Rex Huppke, who began his career as a chemical engineer, will talk about his journey from the world of science to the world of mass media. Having been on both sides, Huppke has a unique understanding of the difficulties researchers face in bringing news of their work to journalists. And he has some suggestions to improve what should be a symbiotic relationship between scientists and the press.
